American Karate Centers was developed to bring high-quality martial arts education to Ellington, Tolland, and surrounding communities. We offer karate classes for kids in CT for ages K to grade 12 . Our comprehensive, age-specific curriculum allows students to work both mind and body, learning transferable lessons aimed at enhancing their own unique goals and potential. DRAGONS
5-6 Years Old
Our Dragons curriculum is developed specifically for the physical, emotional, and social maturity of our Kindergarten and First Grade students.
The class structure consists of:

Great center. My daughter and her friend started here a few months ago from another local school and couldn't be happier with the transition. They welcomed them and met them where they were skill-wise while giving them a little extra attention to help them catch up. They push the children to be their best but are very supportive and encouraging. They are also very organized and communicative. Active Facebook page and app with posted video tutorials for forms and techniques. I am very thankful to Mr. Sanchez, Mr. Nguyen, and the rest of the team at American Karate for making it such a great place.

Our boys (6 & 9) have been students here for about 2 months, and we could not be happier. We have seen them grow immensely both in karate class and at home. Mr. Sanchez and Co. do a brilliant job of balancing holding the students accountable while treating each of them with kindness and respect. Our boys have gained confidence along side physical strength and coordination. While the self defense aspect is important it is the holistic approach that we feel sets this school apart from others.

My son absolutely adores attending American Karate! The instructors are incredibly skilled, patient, and incredibly supportive. They not only teach karate techniques but also help children develop confidence, focus, and respect.
Since he started classes, we’ve noticed incredible positive changes in my son. He eagerly looks forward to each class, and the dojo creates a welcoming atmosphere where every child feels motivated to grow, regardless of their abilities.
